MATHILDA, CHAIR

Description

MATHILDA, CHAIR

BY MOROSO
An everyday object, an easily recognized shape from our collective memory, that is why it feels familiar, there is something of a resemblance. Mathilda is a modern design in the architectural sense, in the proportions between the whole and the detail.

BEYOND MODERN, BUT NOT TOO FAR

The concept is simple, perfect for its intended use: two trestles, which give solidity and affinity, hold the seat and act as a support for the backrest while also making the chairs stackable. Considered, careful intuition brings the design bang up-to-date to create a seating system which is coherent, practical and instantly recognizable. Seat and upholstered back are flame-retardant, stress-resistant polyurethane foam in varied densities on ash frame; raffiawrapped back is also available. Arm and leg connection is covered with fabric or leather armbands; arms and legs are ash or oak in a range of finishes. Covers are not removable. The chair is stackable up to 3.
